Virtual Identities

The Trak Pro system will allow you to create a limitless number of "Virtual Identities" for use during the ticketing of your Attractions A Virtual ID is some "erzatz" identity that can be randomly assigned to ticket holders to make attending your attractions more fun and interesting.  We'll explain how this works with an example, and we are sure you will find some fun things to do with this feature.  Virtual Identities are managed from the TICKETING Menu.  Select TICKETS, then VIRTUAL IDENTITIES FOR ISSUED TICKETS:

Pictured below is a typical Virtual Identity record.

Let's use the Podemska Chicken Hawks baseball club as our example.  In this example, we would like individual tickets to be randomly assigned to famous baseball players.  We might have special areas on the ticket set aside to print biographical information about these players.  As customers buy tickets, they end up getting collectable "stubs".  Younger customers will want to trade them.  Older customers will look for their favorite players from the past.  You could even institute a "Babe Ruth" day, where any customers that can show their Babe Ruth ticket will get a free soft drink.  Select or create the Virtual ID Category appropriate for the identity you are going to enter.  In this case, BASEBALL PLAYERS.  The Virtual ID Category will be used to map Virtual ID's to Attractions.  Enter in Name, Age and other biographical info as required.  Next, you get to assign this Virtual ID to be available for specific ticket types.  Tickets of the type you add are then allowed to draw their assigned Virtual ID's by including the one you are entering.  This can be quite important, depending upon how you use this feature.  Here is another example (minus any pictures):

A Science Center in the Downtown Detroit Area, which we won't name (but its initials are The New Detroit Science Center) called in NCS to possibly help them with an upcoming Medical Marvels display.  Their idea was to give each customer buying a ticket to the attraction a fake "medical history", with various illnesses, ranging from minor to fatal.  They wanted the patron's ticket to have a barcode that represented their "medical history".  They wanted stations at the various displays to be able to scan the barcode, and then launch a presentation tailored to the customer's medical history.  One interesting wrinkle was they did NOT want life threatening illnesses being issued to small children.  The LAST thing they wanted was for some little boy or girl walking up to a display, only to be told they had BRAIN CANCER, and that THEY WERE GOING TO DIE!  We explained that the "Virtual Identity" feature of Trak Pro was capable of doing all of those things for them.  Sadly, they elected to continue using their existing ticketing system.  We are not aware of what they ended up doing for their exhibit.
