Assigning Hold Types to Selected Seats

When you have selected seats in the Venue Browser during ADMIN Operations, you will be presented with the following dialog to assign specific hold types to the seats selected,

In this example above, there are 4 Hold Types to choose from, and the operator has selected 5 seats.  Each time you click on a Hold Type type button, the next unassigned seat is set to that Hold Type.  In the example above, for the five seats selected, we have 2 VIP HOLDS, 2 MEDIA and 1 BOX OFFICE hold assigned to them.  When assigning just a few Hold Types, it is OK to click on the buttons a few times to get the job done.  When you are setting large blocks of seats on hold, you are not going to want to click the VIP HOLD button 322 times.  For this reason we have an additional button at the bottom of this window, next to the Attraction Schedule List.  This button will set the REMAINDER of any UN-ASSIGNED seats to the LAST Hold Type you clicked on manually.  This can really save you a lot of button clicks!

Example:

Let's say we had a group of 200 Seats we need to set aside for special VIP Guests.  You could click the VIP HOLD button 1 time, the click the SET REMAINDER TO button 1 time.  This is a total of 2 clicks to set 200 seats to their proper Hold Types.  Much quicker than doing each one individually.

If you make a mistake, you can simply click on the seat in the list, then click on the correct ticket type.

Now, as another time saver, you might have to put the SAME block of seats on hold FOR MORE THAN ONE PERFORMANCE (or game) of your Attraction. To do so, simply click any additional scheduled times and dates from the list displayed at the bottom of the form.  For convenience, CHECK ALL and UN-CHECK ALL buttons are provided.

If you are RELEASING HOLDS for the selected seats, click RELEASE HOLDS.

When you are done, click PLACE HOLDS.

If you are just looking at seats, and do not wish to actually do anything, click NEVER MIND, JUST LOOKING.
